According to my previous blog, “Petanda Akhir Zaman” (Malay version of ‘Signs of end of the World’) is an inevitable phenomenon in the eye of religious perspective. Apart from this, let us look at other apocalyptic catastrophes that could bring this world to an end.
- “Deep Impact”, “Sinking of Japan”, “Korean Tsunami”, and “2012”. What these blockbuster movies have in common? THE END OF HUMAN KIND! But at the end of the day, we have to stand up and build our own ‘shields’ in order to protect mankind. They’ve shown underground projects such as bunkers and giant submarines to be the best survival against these natural disasters.
- Global warming has brought to a profound implication to the climate change which has angered the mother nature to strike back! Typhoons, floods etc already taken hundreds and thousands of human lives. According to WWF, if the massive emission of CO2 and overuse of natural resources continue at this pace, the earth will eventually ‘explode’. Judging by the fact that global energy demand is climbing rapidly due to population growth and progressing industrialization, we might soon need to look for ‘second earth’ by the end of 2030.
- Ironically, the downside of these events has been cheered by some amazing ideas and achievements by people who believe that the world needs a ‘second chance’. For instance, more orbital explorations are currently underway to seek alternative living planets. NASA has been the leader in the spaceship industry for decades, providing enormous researches and developments to serve the purpose.
- VSS Enterprise is a pilot project conducted by Virgin Galactic, a unit of Virgin Group owned by Sir Richard Brandson, which is the first commercial manned space flight system and tourism business. It has successfully completed its first piloted free flight of SpaceShip 2 on the 10.10.10 (10th Oct 2010).
- This company had received a sum deposit of US$50million dollars from 370 customers who will be the 1st batch of commercial space tourists in not many years to come. Imagine any person who able to fork out RM620,000.00 could realize his or her dreams to travel into galaxy. Having this thought, I wish Malaysia won’t consider sending another ‘can-or-not’ (Malaysian version of astronaut) to space if the purpose merely gather information and comeback with lists of theories and speeches that only end up sucking out rakyat’s tears and blood.
