Just one goal was all that stopped the Bulgarian striker from putting his name on the record books. Since the inception of English Premier League, no player has scored 6 goals in one competition thus far, another 5 goal scorer in United history was Andy Cole.
His praised went all to his teammate - Wayne Rooney who also started in the line-up. For the record, Rooney has made a public apology to his fans on the previous outburst and wage saga. Unfortunately, the sensational united attacking was less cheered as Rooney didn't join the scoresheet eventually. Instead Nani, Chico & Park JS have been persistently rose to the occasions.
